OVO - Cirque Du Soleil Premier!

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the premiere of OVO by Cirque du Soleil at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, and honestly, we’re still trying to process what we saw.

From the very first moment, the level of talent on that stage felt unreal. As performers ourselves, we’re usually good at understanding how things are done, but OVO had us completely baffled. The acrobatics, balance work and physical control on display genuinely seemed impossible at times. We found ourselves constantly asking, “How do you even begin to learn that?” The precision, trust and sheer athleticism required was next level, and every routine felt like it was pushing the human body beyond its limits.

What really stood out to us, beyond the jaw-dropping physicality, was the world-building. The costumes were absolutely stunning! bold, intricate and full of character. adding so much personality and storytelling to each performer. They didn’t just complement the movement; they elevated it, helping transport the audience into OVO’s vibrant, surreal universe.

we left feeling inspired, energised and full of admiration. A masterclass in creativity, discipline and imagination and a reminder of just how powerful live performance can be when the talent is of that level!
